About Us

Peninsula Robotics is a world championship FRC team based in Palo Alto, California. We are a student-run organization, unaffiliated with any school. Our students learn to design, build, and compete at the highest level. Any high-school student (public, private, or homeschooled) in the Silicon Valley area can join, regardless of skill level. Students may join our team via applications which will open during the summer.

Our Mission

Peninsula Robotics aims to enrich the educational experience of its community by providing local high school students with the opportunity to gain hands-on technical experience in engineering, software, and entrepreneurship. As an independent student-run organization unaffiliated with any school, we bring together like-minded students from different backgrounds in a creative and intellectually stimulating setting.

About FIRST®

FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a robotics community that prepares young people for the future through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs for ages 4-18 (PreK-12) that can be facilitated in school or in structured afterschool programs. Boosted by a global support system of volunteers, educators, and sponsors that include over 200 companies, teams operate under a signature set of FIRST Core Values to conduct research, fundraise, design, build, and showcase their achievements during annual challenges.
